"B" or "RB" distributor I.D. - 03/13/10 07:48 PM

Found an old Lean Burn Distributor, P/N 4091711,
Shaft length = 4" (as measured from under the base).

Is this from a 400 or a 440?

Wait just a sec., you were gonna come down here to tell me if I had a org. engine or not and you can't even tell a rb distributor from a b distributor.
It's a rb shaft lenght, but you probably wouldn't believe me on it.

OK. It's an RB distributer. And you got to break my stones. Yup, payback is a bayitch...
Thanks.

Sorry, had to do it.
I have no idea what the PN is and I see it looks as the shaft may have been removed, but apx. 4" from the base is a RB shaft anyway.

Thinking out of the box, I like it! You do have a good point in that RB's and A distributors did have close shaft lenghts. Dist. rotation would tell the tail though and that's wasn't given. That said you just made me go look up the tag #. It's from a 440.
