71 cuda fender

On the driver side fender on the wheel well opening there is a bump on the edge about a foot up from the bottom that look like the fender is not stamped properly I know that there has been know work on them because that OE paint on them is their anyone with any idea why it's there?

Makes me think of when I ran tires that were too wide once and they hit a little when I turned the wheel all the way in one direction.

I hope someone has a good answer, always wondered that myself. I don't know how many vendors they had for fenders, but it wasn't on all of them, and I have only seen it on drivers side of 71 fenders.

That looks suspiciously like the tabs on the later B body fenders.

On those cars there is a rod from that tab to the cowl/firewall.

But on a 71 E-body?

Oh, I see it now. I thought he was talking about something else.

I'll keep my eye out for that in the future.
