"shift shaft" seal on a 1961 push button 904

anyone ever change one out? how difficult is it?

Fairly easy, just did it on my 63 pushbutton small block trans. Bought seal at NAPA for something like a dollar. I used a putty knife and got under the lip around old seal and just worked it out.
