Hood insert part # ID? PT 2582861

I found this piece in a ford van we hauled into a buddies J/Y part# PT 2582861 46357 It looks like a piece from an early Barracuda? I don't know how to post pics.

Are you sure it's a Mopar part?

The pentastar was a give away. I found it in a Ford van along with a tv old stereo etc, none of these are ford parts!lol

Here's a pic of the '67 parts ..... 2582861 is driver's side.

Here are the '68 inserts & casting numbers (these are often different than the actual part number)
The casting #s are 2786643 55062 25575 2 & 2786642 55062 255721

There are also versions with the engine displacement on them "340" "383" & "S"
