Build Sheets

Build Sheets - 02/06/10 02:02 AM

Hello: If a 1970 MoPar has more than one build sheet found in the car ... can one of the build sheets be in color (like you would normally find in a car) and the others be grayscale versions? They are not black and white copies, rather identical build sheets that are printed on a black and white version of the color broadcast sheet. Does this make sense? Or, were ALL broadcast sheets in color? Thx, –WL

For broadcast sheets;

Black & white - no.

Blue & white - yes.

Black & white for a vehicle traveler sheet - yes.

What have you found?

Car (Plymouth GTX) has one color build sheet, like you would normally see, the other one is a black and white version, but it's not a "photocopy" of the color one. I've been told that there are copies of the build sheets that can be found in car that can be black and white ... maybe that's not true.

What are the blue and white ones for?

What is a "traveler" sheet?

Thanks.

Got color scans of the sheets you can email to me? I have not seen a black & white one yet.

The blue & white sheets are just an earlier revision, the color highlighed sheet came later, about mid-1970 model year. The blue & white sheets remained in use though, so some cars have one of each.

A traveler sheet went with the car down the line, if anything needed to be fixed, it was noted on the sheet. The text at the very top resembles a broadcast sheet.
