Isn't that a 71 only valve for the B's?

Is there a difference between the one for an a/c and non-a/c cars? I know that looks no thing like the water valve in my non-ac 74.

This (Mopar 3502346)is for W/AC I believe it has 4 ports as one goes to the AC compressor ...not sure about a non AC valve. I got the number fron my service parts manual.

You might want to double check on that.
And yes that is for 71B's with A/C.

My Bad........doesn't go to the AC compressor but it is the correct valve without the bracket...with the bracket it is 3502721.

no thats not for 73/74 B

Is a generic believe that E bodies are same than 71/72 but thats not true... they only share with 71/72 Bs, but not 73/74 Bs

attached the right one ( actually the one on my car, 74 Charger BB )

73 could get the phenolic Black/Red units but THATS NOT the bracket for 73/74

Here is a picture from my CD Satellite manual and it sure appears to be correct.....Don't dispute it sure doesn't look like yours...but also the 3441883 number matches my manual.it's on order so if not correct will return it....thanks for the heads up though.

Re: Water Valve 74 Satellite - 02/08/10 02:43 AM

yeeap, that's the bracket for 73s with phenolic heater valves... maybe some 74s got the phenolic too ? dunno, but I think all 74s I have seen are the brass units.

either way, that brackets has the right shape to the inner fender location to phenolic unit

Anyone know if the phenolic Black/Red units are available? I tried Rock Auto, NAPA, googling to no avail. Is H30-111 or H30-114 a recognizable aftermarket number? Nothing comes up in Google...

Re: Water Valve 74 Satellite - 02/15/10 05:56 AM

It's a 71 E-body valve, didn't think the later B's used that valve...

It's NOT a 71 B-body A/C valve... that I know.

Re: Water Valve 74 Satellite - 02/15/10 11:07 PM

The 73 road runner{AC car} I'm working on had the old style{bakelite} valve originally...It has the bracket posted by RonM and there's no other holes on the inner fender suggesting it was ever swapped out...And , as usual its shot... ..Seems they all cracked and probably why they wized up and changed it out... But was'nt that bakelite{or phenolic as some are call it} valve used on trucks though the mid to late 70s ????....Nice part for job security though...

IIRC My Sebring Plus had the plastic too. I always thought it was aftermarket. I replaced it with a "factory" from another Sebring Plus:
