single plane intake for 416 - 01/23/10 01:39 PM
considering a victor or m1.
currently running wieand stealth.
mildly ported x-heads,hughes cam .540ish lift.
motor seems to flatten out around 5000rpm or so,wondering if the intake is restricting upper rpm power?

I have a 406" and had an airgap on it. I switched to an M1 and I love it. It actually picked up the 60' and gave me another 600 rpm of power. I only have the MP crate motor cam with .501/.513 lift (hyd roller) so I was shocked the intake made this much differance. It was also good for .45 on the ET. Give it a try.

You are running X heads on the stroker ?? it must be begging for air !!!!
How much are you running in the 1/4 ?

havent been to a track with this motor. but on the street it seems to hold its own with 12 sec cars.
I realise the iron heads keep it from true potential but the x's won out over $$eddies.
i beleive i did a decent job porting the x's were they shouldnt be done at 5000 rpm, just lookin for another 1000 rpm without major surgery.

I'm running a Victor 340 on my 408. 1" - 4 hole Wilson spacer and a Mighty Demon 750 annular. Combo works good for me.

What's the duration on you're cam? I run a Victor on my 408, but I probably have more duration.
