1964 727 trans. to use later style Torque converters - 01/16/10 07:16 PM

I have a 1964 Dodge original 727 big block transmission and I would like to use a later style converter. What is needed to convert it to the 21 spline.I do not want to replace the transmission with a later style.

Thanks

The input shaft can be swapped out to the newer style.

There is a LITTLE more than just that ...... simplest thing to do is to find a later model donor trans and swap-out the guts.

The only parts needed are the input shaft and the reaction shaft support when using '67-'70 parts for the 24-spline upgrade, the front clutch drum is also needed when using the '71 and later parts.

This is a new area for me any pictures and part numbers would be helpful.
