Purple Shaft Questions - HELP!!! - 01/15/10 11:52 PM
I have a 3-bolt Purple Shaft with NO Stampings nor do I have any information - no paper work. It is NEW, never installed. Don't even have knowledge of when it might have been made. How do I find out the appropriate specs?

well, if it's three bolt it's solid lifter. get out your degree wheel and dial indicator.

I sincerely appreciate everyon's comments BUT, what I'm reading is quite variable. Solid? Hyd? I don't know the procedure for using the degree wheel etc. Gues I'll need to have it done by someone smarter than me... LOL, Not hard to do.
