trangulated 4 link question

Anyone here have experience with a triangulated 4 link? I have one macked up in my 73 Cuda and have about 6" of travel from the top of the axle tube to the frame. The axle tube will not hit the frame but would hit the axle bumper. the rearend will travel downward 6" down. The car is to be used primarily on the street and I am trying to make it handle and modernize it; basically doing be because I can. I measured my Challenger and it doesnt seem that it has all that much more travel but I wanted to get some opinons before I continue.
