Ride height specs do you mean, or ?

Those are in the FSM, but I always just adjusted them to the height I liked.

Just tighten or loosen the adjuster and bounce the car around to settle it (or run it up and down the street) until it sits how you want to suit your wheels, etc (unless you go off of the factory settings)

well. my front suspension rt now sucks balls. the front walked around a little bit with my 15s on it and i wanted to see what it would do with 16s with lower profile tires and see if it was the tires or the front end. i have new upper and lower ball joints and tierod ends pitman arm. withthe 16s it drove like [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean]. i was wondering what else it could be?

yea i thought it could have been shitty tires too. alinment has been done it drives straight until it hits the smallest of bumps it bangs and sounds like hell and pulls eather way.

Yep....was it aligned ? And just what is wrong with the ride...does it bounce, wonder down the road, etc ?

I put 17's on my old Ute (like an A body) and drove just fine...with just old front end parts. If your's is new and in correct shape, should be pretty good.

Is it bottoming out ?

You might have to adjust the torsion bars to raise ride height.

Shocks in good shape ?

shocks are brand freekin new, well a year old. yea my ride hight LOOKs fine. i mean my nose or front end is not way low or anything. so i dont really know if cranking up my torsion bars will bring my front end way up. but yea it does kinda feel like it bottoms out. its just way loud when i run over a little bump

Check how much clearance you have between the lower control arm and the bump stop...

If it's close, you can either raise the car up, or trim the bump stop down "some"....believe Steve (autoxcuda) did this from a pic on a previous thread somewhere or other

Re: torsion bar adjustment - 01/02/10 05:17 AM

Excessive wandering when you hit bumps is a common sign of bad LCA bushings. Other things too but bad LCA bushings will make for a wildly wandering ride.

When you adjust the front end height be sure to loosen the LCA pivot and bounce the car to release the tension on the bushings. Then tighten the bushings with the car on the ground at the adjusted height. If you don't release the tension it can cause premature bushing failure.

Hope it helps.
