Crap (Cracked) Dash

I have a 2002 Ram, the dash is cracking everywhere, its almost cracked in one place in half. I bought the truck new and its always been in Florida. I have always used Armor-All, windshield visors and left my windows cracked to reduce interior heat when parked.
This is not a work truck, its loaded and I paid lots. I have a 70 Caddy and a 70 roadrunner original dashes, they get the same loving and no cracks. Whats up with this?

Well known problem. Has something to do with the plastic used for a while.

Nice. The picture of the cracked dash is split in the exact same place as mine, and I have a dark charcoal grey. Not exactly what I would call Ram Tough. Thanks for the answers. Wolfe

Yeah, my 03 dash cracked too (30 days after the 36 month bumper-to-bumper warranty ran out ). I checked into the cost of having the dash replaced and it was over $1200 because the passenger side air bag in incorporated.

The Dashmat hides the crack and looks pretty good too.
