What do I need to make a 408 roller cam engine?

What all do I need to convert my 360 to a 408 roller cam engine. I tried looking for a non magnum roller 360 and there are none to be found anyhere close. So here is what I looking at.

Edelbrock heads
Comp Cams 20-812-9
Stroker Kit

What kind of machine work would be needed to the block for the lifters, etc.?

Nothing special needed. Some may say to bush the lifter bores, but I have been running roller cams and lifters in my 408 for several years unbushed without problems. BTW it is .723 lift. Just make sure you have adequate piston to valve clearence for whatever cam you decide.

Whould I need to get some kind of retro fit lifters? I thought I remember a member on here that made some. Is there a clearence problem with the lifter cradle? With a hydraulic lifters what kind of rockers should I get. I'm looking to make a streetable 500 hp.

If it's a hydraulic retro fit deal, you need a non-roller LA 360 block and the cnversion lifters. Personaly, if you're going to go roller, I would not go hydraulic roller (conversion stuff). There are plenty of decent street solid rollers around now and I'd use one of them. I am a believer in lifter bore bushings for a solid roller cam engine but a hydraulic roller is something I dont typically do unless its a hydraulic roller block. 500HP and very streetable can be easilly reached with a solid flat tappet and properly matched heads. Good heads dont need a ton of cam.
