Carb gasket question??

I have a stock carter on my stock 4 barrel intake manifold... The parts store sold me a carb to manifold gasket that only has the gasket material around the perimeter of the carb, not inbetween the throttle bores.. Will this work OK on my car??

If it's under 1/4" thick you won't notice the difference - as long as you have no outside vacuum leaks.
