Vinyl roof cleaning - 07/16/08 11:09 PM

I have just had a new vinyl roof put on my road runner, just wondering what most of you guys are using to clean the vinyl...and do you spray/wipe it with anything to protect it?

i use mineral spirits followed with a damp rag, it really cleans it. try mineral spirits on your tires, leaves everything super clean and "natural" looking as if new, and is itself a oil based thinner , kinda rejuvenates and protects vinyl/rubber....I've been using it for years. works great for getting tree sap off paint too!!!

GM Dealerships used to carry some AC/Delco spray foam that was really good. Spray on, scrub a little bit, hose off.

Kept the white vinyl on our Valiant sprakly for years. Car had the factory vinyl top, intact and bright what for almost 30 years. I would say that's a pretty good run, eh?
