Could anybody tell me how and what is the best way to adjust the valve train on a 273?Thanks

You can go off the chart, or the old school way which isn't dependent on firing order. When the exhaust starts to open, set the intake. When the intake starts to close, set the exhaust.

pull the valve covers,spark plugs & a 1&1/4" socket/breaker bar on front dampener bolt. adj each pair of rocker arms when it's companion cyl is on rockover. rockover is when both rocker arms on the OPPOSITE(companion)cyl are both moving & are at the same height. split the firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 & put the first 4 numbers on top of the last 4 IE the(1) will be over the (6) so when #6 is on rockover you adj #1 & when #1 is on rockover you adj #6 then go to the next pair.
