Enamel Paint question. - 11/10/09 09:12 PM

I just used some Mopar engine enamel on my 440. I didn't know about enamel recoat windows until after i painted and was looking around on the net.

Basically i did two thin coats coats one day and then 2 thin coats the next day 12 hours later. I didn't know you were supposed to do it all in an hour or wait 7 days for it to cure before coating again.

Now less then 24 hours later the paint is dry to the touch but i can stick my fingernail in it.
Will this ever cure now or am i screwed?

Thanks Mike

When you run the engine the heat will probably cure it and bake it on.

My car is in 1000 pieces right now and the motor won't be running for a few months.

Got a small heater you can aim at it? I was gonna say put it in the sun but saw where you live...
