How much paint?

68 dart - complete repaint. Engine compartment, door jambs, trunk, body, 2 hoods. Base/clear. Going with a honda Silver. About how much paint/clear do I need? Any suggestions on a brand for a novice?

How much to do engine compartment, door jambs, trunk, and then let a body shop do the rest?

Anyone in the Savannah, GA area want to paint a car?

Single stage enamel, 1 quart to do the eng. compt, jams, etc, and 1 gallon to do the body and any insidentals.

There is tons of information on everything from air compressor requirements, spray gun and paint recommendations, as well as sanding materials and techniques. From body work to cut and buff.

Most would recommend a base coat clear coat for a novice painter. Single stages take a little more finesse/experience to apply properly.

As for products that are user friendly - RM Diamont for base coat and SPI for primers and clears.
