426 Hemi Dipstick Mystery?? - 10/28/09 10:12 PM
I have a 426 Crate Hemi that I'm told holds 6 quarts of oil. I've checked the dipstick and tube and they're the correct parts. Problem is, nothing shows on the dipstick with a full 6 quarts of oil.
Probably a very stupid question. . . What am I missing????

Well the best way would be for you to post pictures of your Oil Pan and your dipstick tube and the Dipstick itself. Also a picture of the tube in the block to show that the tube is seated completely.

Maybe the dipstick is catching the windage tray and riding on top of it.
