Lots of conflicting info on this ,was a starter shield ONLY used on Hemi cars with automatics or standards as well ?

your talking the sheet metal plate with gasket bolted to drivers rail, its on most all b-body mopars from factory. sean some hemi cars have it and some not dont think it was anything to do with trans option

What year? Are you talking about the metal shield on the starter, shield on frame or metal gasket between the starter and the bellhousing?

The metal , notched shield ( rubber gasket ) , on the frame , 1969

According to the engineering print, P/N 2925315 - Front Side Rail Lower Splash Shield was for B-Body Automatic transmission only. No mention of engine type.
68-70 B-Body & 70 340 E-Body.
