Whats the secret to not scatching coated headers - 10/17/09 02:20 AM

Going to install some coated elite headers tomorrow on a 440 Charger. Usually I scratch the headers up when installing but don't want to ruin the ceramic coating. I will try to install them with the bags on that they came in. Any advice?

I use lots of blue tape.

One layer of blue tape so it will be easy to remove when the time comes, then a layer of duct tape for heavy duty protection..

dont't forget to wipe them down with alcohol before you run the motor

I wrapped mine in towels then taped the towels.
