Need help decoding fender tag on 72' Charger

The VIN. # is WH23G2A139021

The fender tag is:

By looking at it, the car has:

Original orange paint
Black bucket seat interior w/ center console
Looks like it had a vinyl top
It has a big block 4bbl. auto (looks original)
A/C
Power steering
14" Rally wheels

I'm mostly confused with the big block. The VIN. is indicating 383 2bbl. (not themoquad 4 bbl.) or 318 2 bbl.

E44 tells us it was a 318

That year 1972

G= 318-2
E44 = 318-2

An earlier year(s) (67-69) cars had a G engine which was a 383-2. 1970 was the switchover year.
