Dougs or TTI headers...Any preference? - 10/02/09 01:43 PM
I'm in the market for a new set of headers to replace the Hooker Comps currently on my wife's car.
('70 E-body with 440/727...manual steering and brakes, No AC. Factory iron heads, but possibly a pair of Indy SRs or Edelbrocks down the road. Car currently runs deep into the 11's in 100% street trim.)
The car has a 3" TTI X-pipe system on it, so I considered TTI headers. That being said, I have heard both good and bad about their headers. As an alternative, I considered Dougs headers since they have been around forever and they have a real good reputation.
I'd most likely be considering 2" primary headers. They would be coated as well.
Any feedback on either vendor as far as fit/finish/etc...? As of right now, I'm leaning towards Dougs headers.
Thanks in advance.
