i got one, a std grind solid with a modifed spec, but never ran it .

I have one in the Hemi and I like it. One of the better cam companies in my opinion. Very knowledgeable and very accessible by phone if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. I put trust in a friend's advice whose a reputable Mopar builder & has built some great motors that made good power w/ the Engle cams & your recommendations verified his prefrence for Engle.
Got a flat tappet 504/514 lift intake/exhaust & 272/280 duration on a 112 lobe separation.
Should run well in a 451 stroker.

About 20 years ago I bought a flat tappet from Engle. A couple of years later I bought a roller from them too. Both for 440's. For both of them Jack Engle set me up with excellent cams for what I was using. I was very happy with the cams and the customer service.

Back in the 80s I built a couple of Hemis with the K7 Hyd cams somewhere around .550 lift and was very happy with the results.
My current motor has a slightly custom K5 Hyd with around 520 and 109 , I havent driven this one yet but it sounds really strong..
I have been using Crower Hyd pushrods with them..

i ordered the K1 grind with the lobe sep at 112 for my then 432 stroker build , except i got a solid flat tappet
good cam choice .

My cam is a Hughes...ground by Engle at that time. I am very happy with it...the perfect cam for what I wanted 500HP, idles at 800rpm and can still use PB.

I notice they only sell one dual pattern cam on their website for BB Mopars, and it's a smaller one, bummer. I prefer a dual pattern cam, for some odd reason.

For those who think they "have" to have a dual-pattern cam I suggest reading Isky's tech article about dual-pattern cams, if it is still on their website.
There are applications for both types of cams, as well as the dual-pattern with the longer duration on the intake side. If the engine has an efficient exhaust port and exhaust system then the longer exhaust duration may be wasting power. This was discovered by some Mopar dirt-trackers when the 308 heads came out.

any of the engle grinds can be can be had in dual pattern; just call them. they have a "blue sheet" with additional grinds that they will mail you if requested.

My 69 RR has been running an Engle cam since it was practically new. I still have the hand-written cam card which I will try to post tonight. Idle is good with just the right amount of music...pulls strong with a wide power band.

Most of the stuff they grind is after discussing the requirements w/ the owner, not their "catalog" grinds which they probably don't even bother to stock. Specifying a d-p vs. a s-p ain't no big thang...
FWIW, I've had good luck in the past running a couple of their .904"-type solids in my Challenger and currently have one of their .904" hydraulics put aside for my Road Runner. My Challenger currently has a custom Comp solid, though.
The only down side w/ Engle IMO is that they're using some pretty old grinding equipment and they seem to have a problem grinding the same exact cam back to back. None of the cams I've gotten from them have actually matched the master lobe specs when I've mapped their profiles. They're always off 1-3 degrees (usually on the big side) at the .020" and .050" lift measurement, although it's a small enough amount that Joe Average isn't going to know the difference.
I also suspect which ever of the Engle brothers (Mark or Doug) generally answers the phone spends a bit too much time behind the shop on breaks smokin' them funny smellin' cigarettes. The dude always comes across a little too buzzed to hold a serious tech discussion.

I had a honda cb450 motorcycle, and to my good fortune some guy in my barracks had a b5 blue 69 340 swinger..took me a while to see him getting in the car to see who owned it.
long story short we swapped even up...he told me the factory cam was shot...i took him at his word and installed an agressive engle hydralic grind and a set of headers on an otherwise stock 90, 00 thousand mile 4 speed 3.23 geared car...to this day i still cant believe how well that car ran..wish i still had it.

I have one in my 340. I love it. Runs great at low rpm and pulls strong. When I ordered mine 4 years ago there were no cams for mopar on the shelf is what I was told. Cams were made to customers specs. I sent some deer jerky down and got is in a week with a free t-shirt.Was very happy to deal with them. Will buy my next cam for my stroker from them also.
