Right side cancels itself out after the turn, left side does not, Is there an easy fix? '68 Coronet 500 stock steering wheel.

You either need the whole turn sig switch, or you can try the yahovey repair kit that is just the upper part of switch with contacts. I don't even know if that is available anymore. It's not the steering wheel, but wheel has to come off to fix switch.

NAPA sells the item Nacho shows. Worked for me and a lot cheaper than buying a new switch.

I got that same item for my 69 for less than $6.00 at advance auto. Once the steering wheel is off its a very easy fix.

I'd recommend cleaning the conacts up while you're at it and testing to make sure all the lights are working properly before you install the steering wheel.

Yep all you want is the turn signal cam. Stock and repro ones are plastic and it's a wonder they last as long as they do before cracking.

so, to take off the steering wheel...I haven't looked yet but does the center piece just pop off and then a castle nut or something
??

Depends on the steering wheel. There may be screws on the back side of the wheel that hold the horn pad on.

Disconnect the battery first. Remove the horn pad/button. Remove the big nut on the end of the shaft. Use a wheel puller to remove the wheel. There are different styles, but will look something like this:
