I'm not sure if the output shaft on a 4X4 is the same length as a standard 727.

Yes 727. What it would take to convert for your Coronet, I don't know.

IIRC the out put shaft is different from 4x4 to car trans.
Output shaft and tail housng should be all you need.
Some tail housing don't have the mounting tabs for floor shift linkage.

Don't see why you would want that. I find complete 727 cores all day long for $20 to $50 on craigslist. That trans is only good for a 4X4, or for the 4 gear planetaries. What are you going to do? The output shaft is almost the first thing that goes into the trans from the front.

Probably not too many $20 727 cores where the poster is located.

I know, but unfortunately I live overseas, so I have to use the transmission I have. Other parts in the gearbox are small and the price of transportation is cheap ...
