Bypass fitting? - 07/06/08 06:01 PM

I am trying to find a bypass fitting (3/4 npt x 1" hose)for a sb Mopar and I cannot find one. Anyone know where to find it? I can buy one online but $18.00 seems high and $38.00 at the dealership seems higher yet. Thanks

Tried them all, Home Depot, Lowes and all the local hardware stores. After I tell them what I need, I get a "deer in the headlight look".

All you need is a threaded pipe nipple. Carquest and NAPA even handle pipe connectors.

Its like a ghost hunt isnt it? 1969 and down is a piece of cake. Help Section at any parts store will have a 3/4 NPT by 3/4 heater hose fitting. 1970 and up, not so much.

Ebooger sells them on Ebay. Kinda pricey if you ask me though. I got one from Mcmaster Carr through work. On the cheap you could use a 3/4 NPT piece of pipe and cut it down about an inch past the last thread. The guy at Summit told me he gets request for that quite frequently yet they have done nothing to address the problem.

I got mine at NAPA, I think I paid $5.
