Light and Wiper switch with aftermarket gagues?

Light and Wiper switch with aftermarket gagues? - 07/06/08 12:50 PM

I put a set of Autometer gauges in a Redline Gauge Works panel in my Duster. Now I need to find something to do with the lights and wipers. I don't want to put the stock switches in the gauge panel, as the holes in the old gauge cluster were recessed and they would stick out in the new one. If I keep the old switches, I'll probably extend the wiring and put them under the dash somewhere, but I'd like to find some other kind of switch, something like a toggle switch or other, to put in the gauge panel. Anyone have ideas and suggestions?

How about an illuminated Rocker Switch?

Just make sure the switch is rated for the amps it has to carry or use a relay. If you Google "rocker switch" you'll find them with various amp ratings.

Do you have an electronics store near you? One near me has a neat assortment of buttons, switches, and toggles for all sorts of needs. - two position, three position, momentary etc. If you have a two speed wiper motor, a ON-OFF-ON toggle would work nicely.

How about solid toggles with small indicator lights mounted neatly somewhere there too.

Anyone know how I would wire the lights up to a rocker switch? There are 4 pins on the stock light switch?
