Braking on A Body Different Sizes - 07/05/08 04:32 PM

3 to choose from.

Stock 66 B body rear with stock brakes.

Stock 71 A body 8 3/4 brakes

Or 3x11 C body(?) drums?

I have all the stuff to do the BBP front disc conversion.

Should I buy the Eberg small wheel cylinders to run with the 3"ers?

What does it take to swap to the 11.75 on the front?

I have a 63 B body rear end in my 71 Duster and 11.75 front discs with a manual master cylinder. Nice braking power. Got the 11.75 discs from e-berg. 11.75 caliper brackets off e-bay and manual master cylinder from Magnum Performance.

You need a little more than 4.5 backspacing rear rims when running the pre 63-67 width rears. Unless you are running real narrow tires.

The 11x3 aren't neccessary and just weigh things down.

Just get a the right pin or slider caliper adapter to get to 11.75 disks

the spindle is the same between the 2 brake sizes , the caliper adaptor unbolts from the spindle and thats the difference between the 2 , uses the same caliper .
