WOW! You got one already? I didn't think they were out yet. Anyways, the best game in town for what you want is the Diablosport Predator. I don't know 100% if they are up to date for the '09's but their unit is the one to get.

Thanks Bro. Actually, I got #509 of 6400 built of the First Edition SRT8's, which are all 6.1 Hemi. My understanding is, after the 6400, they will be RT's with the 5.7 Hemi and down to the 3.5 V6. I actually was on the list for almost 2 years and I have 2 more coming. I got one in each color, Hemi Orange, Silver and Black. If I knew how to post pics on this site, I would give you guys some eye candy.

Oh, yours is a 2008 model. The Predator will work on your car, no problem. It has a lot of cool options and will make your car perform a little better. You can raise your rev-limiter too.

Have fun with it.

The local dealer got one for (some of you may know) Mike Booker formerly with Mike Booker/Dave Wren racing. To be real honest I am not crazy over it. IMO it looks like it hit a truck and got rear ended. Too deep and squared off. Take 6 inches of rocker panel off, drop the car down some and go to 15 inch wheels and chrome bumpers.
If you like it that is what counts.
Was told the V6 model will be in the low 20k price range.

I actually agree with you. I own a 72 Cuda, so I have something to compare to. I bought them for investments and because I am a Mopar freak!

BG Chrysler probably either has or is working on a custom tune.

How do you like the car? Worth the money on it's own merits? My local dealer just got one in, going down to see it this morning.

My 08 Mustang GT is more fun to drive, seems quicker and has a nicer rumble from the exhaust. The Challenger weighs 4100 + pounds so it sort of lumbers along. I'm sure it will be better once I reprogram the performance specs. They did a hell of a job designing the car, but for the money, there are some weak points. Paint (Hemi Orange) has a lot of orange peel. The entire underhood area is flat paint (like the original?). 20" wheels with Brembo brakes all around has quite a bit of fade when stopping from high speeds. In park or neutral you cannot rev past 4000 rpm. Feels strange. Don't even think about burning rubber from a stop. I'd like to know how Mopar Muscle got those rear wheels smoking on there last cover issue. I guess for $50,000 I expect better. First year jitters I suppose. Anyway, its one hell of a chick magnet and object of affection for Paparazzi's.

I expect that the package will be ten times better than this one. I saw a vid of it the other day on yellow bullet. It is completely different from the street version and is supposed to be Nhra certified to go into Stock from the factory. I also think this version of the challenger weighs somewhere around 3300lbs as well. I can't wait to see that version hit the strip. I betcha that thing will run 10.50's from the factory and with a little tuning from of one of the pioneers like Barton, that thing will be running 10.20's pretty easy, depending on the class it runs in that is.

Put a Diablosport on it, kiss the warranty goodbye, and have fun.

Just a couple thoughts,

Modern Mopars have a break in mode in the computer that slow them down some at first.

As for the tire smoke, should be a button or switch somewhere there to turn off the traction control then

I'm pretty sure every article I've read on it says you can turn that Rev Limiter off.

I'll have to take a look when I get home. It's been all over every MOPAR magazine for the last two months... you would think I can dig something up.

Turn the ESP off, my little 5.7 will roll them for 50-60' with it off but won't spin in the rain with it on.
