Looking for Part # from the 1972 Master Parts catalog - 08/18/09 09:12 PM

Could someone who has the 1972 master parts catalog please look up the following and scan the page or post the info in a reply.

I would like to know the Part #'s for the Rocker Mouldings used on both Challenger and Barracuda models.

This is the long aluminum piece that runs along the lower rockers on both sides. To the best of my knowledge the 72 E-bodies used different parts until the mouldings were consolidated for the 73-74 model years.

Thanks

Thanks for the info as that is the part # I had listed as well. Though I am not convinced that it is correct.
The reason is that I have an NOS pair of the 3579148 rocker mouldings still in the package and when compared to the original mouldings they are noticeably different on the ends. The originals have a more defined sharp spear shape point at each end and the NOS parts are more rounded. The length measurements are the same it's just the ends that are different.
Any additional thoughts ???

When were your NOS parts made? Chrysler may have used many different manufacturers over the production life of the part number.
