What is the correct color for a 69 hemi distributor? Are they natural or black (flat, semigloss, or gloss)?

They were gloss, but it was about the cheapest paint money could buy and put onto a bare rough cast iron part would definately look duller than one might expect. All that being said, it was gloss back paint.

NP,

BTW, the cap retention clips were a raw unpainted spring steel, usually with a blackish/gun blued look. The correct caps had "Made in USA" molded into the top. The little oil filler spigot, retention clip anchors, and the vacuum advance unit were all a clear zinc/silver plate, some parts had a goldish was over the silver. The shape of the vacuum advance unit varied over the years.
