could someone tell me if this engine (it is the original engine) would have timing gears(no chain) or a common gear and chain set. thanks !!

It should have gears only and a three bolt reverse rotation cam. Those helical cut gears are a work of art, last forever and they should have been used on all big blocks.

A 361 Ind motor ? ... a 413 itself is pretty weak as-is ...I could imagine how bad a 361 would be !!

I have only seen one-of-these in a pic on an eBay auction some time ago.

The gear drive? .. having one in this motor is maybe a 50/50 crap-shhot.

413HD gear drive, 361HD should look the same.



Anyone got one they don't need?
I can use the rev rotation cam that came in them also.

Quit being a pack rat! How about getting off a gear drive set and rev rot cam?
Bring them to FL next time you come.
