rocker arm stud torque w/ aluminum heads? - 08/04/09 09:51 PM

Just about finished putting a 440 together with aluminum heads. Got studs for the rockers/shaft. What should I torque the studs to? nuts on the studs to?

Do not torque the studs, finger tight only.

Teh studs should not even been ran in tight. We usually leave them backed off from the bootom just a little. If you want to you can put just a little mild thread locker on the stud but I would not use much. I would also use the thread lock primer first. Then torque the nut down on the stud to about 28 ft-lb.
