71-72 r.r. chin spoiler on 73-74 sat/r.r.?? - 06/29/08 06:58 AM

i thought i had seen a pic one time of a pair of front chin spoilers off a 71-72 road runner on a 73-74 road runner/satellite
has anyone here done that? did you have to mod. anything to get them to fit? any pic showing how thay turned out?

I don't think the 73-74 versions have a lower valance so it may require swapping fenders, bumper and the valance to get a mounting point.

There's a guy on ebay who made one for the 73/74's. It's a one piece though, but looks good.

Hey Ralph, how's it going ???

...I'm installing a set on the 73RR I'm working on...They'll bolt right on with no mods and look like they should have been there all along...check this pic out...

That looks like a '69 Camaro front spoiler. (I just bought one for my Charger. )

Hey nice pic, I always wondered if a set of those would fit! Are those just a regular set of repop 71 style spoilers?

Yes, that's them...That pic was one I found on the net when I was contemplating the same questions...During the body assembly/panel fitting on my 73 RR project I fastened them in place and the contours were perfect !!! No bending,cutting,etc...And as you can see they blend just wonderful with the 73-74 front body lines...Just what the car needed IMO for that special touch...

I'll get some better pics when the car comes back from the paint shop...

i love it almost looks like my car iv decided im gonna add a set to my 74
