A-Body Hood Pins

For a 1970 Dart, what size of hole do you drill the hood for the pins and what is the orientation of the scuff plate screws, front to back / side to side, or diagonal?

i've measured in the past a 69 bee,70 cuda and a 70 dart with original hood pins and they were 1 inch.
