what size speed nuts for r.r. scoops?

what size speed nuts for r.r. scoops? - 06/26/08 10:11 PM

iv took the special nuts off the studs that holds the scoops on my 74 r.r. hood to get painted but now there gone off the face of the earth bout 20 of them or so
what size are these and where can i get new ones from? thanks guys

I have a 74 RR hood on my SSP. A metal 3/8" or a 10 mm speed nut will fit.

I have seen them in local R&S Strauss, Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. in their hardware aisles.

Is that the size socket that your useing to take them off?

Yes. I used a deep socket 10 mm to test the nuts.

Also, they are thread cutting nuts not speed nuts.
