340 motor mounts R the same as 318-correct? - 06/26/08 03:20 PM
I have a late mod K member, 73 era going into my 67 Dart. I am going out today and try and find a set of motor mounts locally at the parts houses. I am assuming that 340 mounts are the same as 318 mounts??

no not the same on the left side. 340-360 the same

The right motor mount bracket is the same between 318, 340, and 360. The left bracket is what is different. The 318 has a different bracket on the left side then the 340-360 does. The motor mounts (the rubber parts) are the same for all three engines.

For the drivers side engine bracket I think some guys here have just made up the difference in width between 340/318 brackets with a few washers

I believe he doesn`t have any mounts so why not buy the correct ones. Mike
