Switch from AC to Non-AC Heater box - 07/08/09 05:45 PM

I have a 69 GTX with AC. I have the box out and don't want to reinstall the AC. Will a non AC box bolt right in? I know I will have some holes to cover in the firewall but is there anything else to consider?

Thanks,

Steve

Nope, firewall is different, You'll have to drill new holes I think. Then getting all the vents correct could take some engineering

You can always buy the Mojave heater from Summit. Hang it right above your console behind the dash. I made one for my 70 Charger and it was blowing air at 3 speeds, and had the optional vent on the side to hook up to the dash defrost vents. I think it was like $120. Weighed 14lbs when it was filled with water. A heck of allot better than the 80lb factory unit and your firewall has allot more space. I opted to hang all my MSD ignition on the passenger side firewall and an updated fusebox
