Ok, the bottom shifter in the picture.... Does anyone know what year B-body that is suppose to be in?



I need to know what year it's from so I can order one for a '69 B-body....

1970 B body with a console.

But will also fit any other 66-70 B-body cars with console. BTW, better knuckle clearance if you also use the 70 mechanism.

Whats the diff between the machanisms? Is one angled more?

The difference is the length of the 3 fingers that stick out of the bottom of shifter mechanism. It will either lenghten the throw of the shifter or shorten the throw.

I had the bottom shifter handle in my 64 Polara with a console for a while, but then I installed the second handle, which is a 71 B body bench seat model. I had to make a little piece to step the handle over a little to clear the console, but it works great!
