1965 727 fit 1976 truck?

Will a 1965 727 transmission hook up to a 1976 truck with a 360 and a 4 speed?

A 65 is cable shift isn't it?

I don't think it will work for you.

You need 66 up.

Not only is the '65 a cable shift but the rear mount pad location and speedo drive are different too.

Does the early 727 have the small input and pilot on the converter like a 904?

All 727 converters have the 1.810" pilot hub. Only the pre-'68 904 converter has the smaller 1.550" hub.
