Hello, what year did they start using the 6.1 Modern Hemi? I am looking to buy a used engine and stroke it to make a modern 426 because I can't aford a real 426...I thoght this would be a cheeper route?

Honestly...I don't know..I am sure I could check out the STR8 cars and figure it out but I thought it would be quick to find out on here.

by the time everything is ready to fire, close to same price. Around $1700 just for wiring and computer. Then exhuast, motor mounts, etc. Not trying to discourage as I am installing a 6.1 as we speak, just costs more than I thought it would.

Yea...if I was going to use the EFI I would need the harness and stuff but I am going to go carburated...hopefully I can find someone that makes a dual four barrel intake.

If you are going with carbs, I have the MSD setup to run ignition and fire coils. I found out the hard way, it will not run EFI. Let me know.
