ford transmission questions

Will a 1989 ford trans from a 351w f250 truck bolt to a 460 big block?
If so how to tell if its a c6?
Could this trans be built for high performance?

Ford C6 is a heavy duty unit that can easily be modified for high HP use. The pan shape is almost square except for a cutout in the rear portion.

The 460 case will not mate to a 351W.
