SB small end rod width

SB small end rod width - 05/27/09 11:20 PM

How 'bout a little help folks. I just purchased a set of KB 742 forged pistons at a smokin' price. All was well until fine print says I need a 1" rod. Can anyone tell me the width of a stock 340/360 rod vs. a magnum rod. Any further input appreciated. I was already thinking Scat, Eagle or K1.

Thanks

1.2" & can just have your shop narrow them EDIT yes magnum rods are 1"

I do not know but machining stock rods to 1" is a very painless procedure & is done regularly & does not sacrifice enough material to be a problem so if you are content w your stock rods & are Ok with rebuilding the big end as opposed to some new ones(which I think is a good idea, depends on your intentions) no need to switch just over the small end width issue.
