ThermoQuad Book Recommendation - 05/25/09 01:08 AM
I want to purchase a book so I can learn more about the TQ, and be able to do my own work, etc. Any recommendations on the best repair book with good illustrations, diagrams, etc???
I believe my carb is a 71 model, however I'm not sure. How do I I.D. the carb I have? Thanks

The BEST reference is a Chrysler service manual.
Carb ID ? ... on the lower throttle-valve plate ... drivers rear ear .. there are #'s stamped there.
Give me that # ...I can get that application for you.
If you need the air-valve tool to properly adjust that critical aspect of that carb .. drop me a PM.

Do a google search for vaanth thermoquad guide a lot of good info in there, including breakdowns of that carb # = which year and application. After that answers some of your questions, a factory service manual should get you the rest of the way, so long as you get the manual for your year of carb.

any model can be converted on to a "wished" model, but thsi specific one, is not a wished one in stock form.
for better advices about that, contact to demonsizzler
in stock form the best ones to choose are 4000 and 6000 series

Do a search here on Moparts. There is a factory manual link that you can print out.
