1974 Dodge Truck Block VIN Number??? - 05/20/09 09:44 PM

OK I know where the block VIN numbers are.
I have a 74 Dodge D100 survivor with 28000
miles, totally original still had build sheet
taped around steering column under the hood!
It has the stock 318 original EVERYTHING! There
is no VIN number on the block or the trans. The pads are there but they are blank. Cast dates are
correct. Did they not stamp blocks/trans on Dodge
Trucks?? I cant believe they would be warranty block and trans with that mileage and correct
cast dates??? Anyone Know???? Thanks

Yeah, I agree. I pulled the origional (as far as I know) 318 out of my 74 Ramcharger, anf no VIN numbers.

I agree with 500 CU Duster. I have seen many small and big block truck engines and transmissions from 1974 -80 without VIN numbers
