RedLine Dash Insert

RedLine Dash Insert - 06/18/08 07:46 PM

Does anyone have dimensions for the A-Body insert (see attached photo)?
I'm laying out my gauges (using AutoCAD), and need to know how much flat real estate is available.
Tried asking RedLine, and they wouldn't forward any information, so I'm relying on the good people of Moparts.
Thanks!

I ordered one, but it hasn't come in yet. I'm guessing it's the same dimensions as the stock piece. I did the same thing laying out how I want it with AutoCAD, but the files are on my work computer. Using Autometer 3-3/8 speedo and tach and the normal 4 2-1/16 gauges, I was able to line them up all in a row with enough clearance to fit from the dimensions I got from my stock bezel. I can send get my AutoCAD files for you tomorrow if you want.

71blueduster,

That would be great! I have an older version of AutoCAD (Release 14) if you can't save to that version can you saveas *.dxf?

I do not have a "stock" bezel to work with, as my '71 Dart GT has a completely different style of cluster/dash frame. I purchased a '70 Duster dash frame to use (from a Moparts member), but it is only the frame, no cluster included.

The attached shows a couple of different options I've come up with. The top one is my 1st choice right now! What do you think?
