'69 Coronet R/T hood chrome picture?? - 05/19/09 08:18 PM

Can anyone show me some close up pics of the chrome pieces (nice original or restored) on a standard '69 Coronet R/T hood?
Is it actually chrome, or is it more of a satin finish?
Has anyone ever restored a piece like this? Is it difficult?

If not, have these pieces been re-made by anyone -Ive had no luck in finding them so far.

It seems like a rough textured chrome plate to me, but I've seen some with differnt colored inset area. Some were black, some not?

i think it should be more of a chrome looking finish. the problem is that it is pot metal(i believe). painted the inset black like said above.

definetly not supposed to be smooth shiny chrome. They are a satin textured finish.
