E body floor shift bracket location - 05/16/09 11:37 PM

Hello, im to the point on my 73 cuda restoration where i am about to convert my column shift car to a floor shift. I have the brackets, the shifter and most of the rods, etc. Does anyone have a pic of exactly where the brackets go on the floor hump? I see their is some indentations but a pic would be very helpful if someone has their carpet out. Thank you!!!

anyone? I found some pics but not really too helpful. If i drill the hole in the floor where the circle is stamped in the pan do i mount the shifter in the park position? Also what is the shift bracket that has the hook go to?

If you look closely you can just make out an "L" shaped spring...That hook anchors one end of the spring and the other end is fastened to the shifter rod...Heres a better pic I found and another for the measurements..

very nice, i notice that spring is missing on alot of peoples cars and they still work fine. i need all new bushings and washers for the linkage. Does anyone make a hardware/rebuild kit?
