Chrysler to Carter Fuel Pump Cross Referencing - 05/13/09 05:38 PM

Does anybody out there have an old Carter fuel pump catalog? I am trying to get the Carter part numbers for Specific Chrysler part numbers and was hoping someone had a Carter Catalog that covers 1962 to 1965. I don't want to get to much newer than that catalog wise as Carter starts to throw several Chrysler part numbers under one Carter number, like a supercede once they are old part numbers. This might require several Carter catalogs to figure out these number acurately. The Chrysler numbers in question are 2275573, 2581846 and 2585118. Original Carter Catalogs shoulod have a cross reference section in them to go from Chrysler to Carter numbers. Any help here would be greatly appreciated ... Greg

don't know if this is much help but these are carter numbers from a 65 service manual. ms-3674s/slant six, ms-3673s/273-318, ms-3672s/361,383,426.

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately the 3672 is the standard volume style pump and not the high volume high performance model.

the only double diaphragm number i have is ms-4024s and i think thats an obsolete number. the only modern numbers i have are m5903 and m6903 6psi dual diaphragm and m4862 8.5psi dual diaphragm; both similar to street hemi pumps. there was a large 6 valve dual diaphragm nascar pump but i haven't seen one in years; and they do require block grinding to fit.

Does anyone know if the old Carter pumps are date coded? I have what I am pretty sure is an original 65 pump, but I would like to be sure before I rebuild it.
